Crowns & Bridges
Dr. Belcher provides excellent restorative dental care. If your teeth
are damaged or decayed, crowns may be constructed to restore them back
to their original form. If you have missing teeth, a bridge may be
utilized. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are
referred to as "fixed" dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing
teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.
Implants
Implants are an increasingly popular alternative to dentures, crowns and
bridges. They have many advantages, including their natural appearance,
improved comfort and unequaled convenience. If you are considering
implants, we can discuss the considerations and help you make the
decision that is right for you.
Dental implants are artificial roots and teeth (usually titanium)
that are surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone by a dentist
or Periodontist - a specialist of the gums and supporting bone. The
teeth attached to implants are very natural looking and often enhance or
restore a patient's smile!
Dental implants are very strong, stable, and durable and will last
many years, but on occasion, they will have to be re-tightened or
replaced due to normal wear.

Root Canal
Root canal treatment, also known as
endodontic treatment, is a dental procedure in which the diseased or
damaged nerve of a tooth is removed so that the tooth can be saved or
restored.
Bonding
Bonding is covering the front surface of teeth with durable plastic to
either change the tooth's color or shape, or the rebuild broken teeth.
Bonding is similar to veneers, but not as strong, but it is a low-cost
way to improve your smile. Bonding is great for children who have
chipped front teeth and for adults who need an alternative for veneers
and understand the limitations.
Tooth Colored Fillings
Inlays and Onlays are tooth-colored restorations that are used in place
of silver fillings on the chewing surfaces of back teeth. This approach
has become very popular because silver (mercury) fillings are not safe
and are less attractive.

Please add a new service
on our website with the following attachment as well as the paragraph
below: Please title it as " Laser Cavity Scanner" and place it after
Zoom Whitening and before sedation dentistry.
Diagondent
John C. Belcher D.D.S now has the
FDA approved laser cavity scanner. The FDA has certified it as 100%
accurate. Now we are able to identify cavities when they are in their
earliest stages, when they are small, easy to fix and least expensive to
fix as well. The Diagnodent sends out an audio signal, the higher the
tone the deeper the cavity. If the numbers on the machine indicate a
fifteen or higher, a new cavity has been found. Please call for more
information or to schedule your Diagnodent reading.
Gum Therapy / Shaping
If the shape or fullness or your gums is a problem, the contours and
shape of the gums can be changed to provide a more attractive appearance
and protect the teeth. Using lasers, Dr. Belcher can shape the gum
precisely while minimizing bleeding. In some cases, synthetic bone can
be added under the gums to build areas where trauma or gum disease has
occurred.
TMJ/Migraine Therapy
TMJ Dysfunction is a popular term to
describe a disorder of the jaw joints or the muscles that control the
joints. Symptoms masquerade as a multitude of other problems such as
sinus headaches, migraines, neck and shoulder stiffness and earaches.
Dr. Belcher successfully treats TMJ and Migraines.
Mini Dental Implants
Mini dental implants is a small miracle in implant dentistry!
Thanks to mini-implants, stable secure dentures can be attached to your
mini dental implants, enabling you to chew, eat and smile with
confidence. Since there is no cutting of the gums and no stitches
to have removed, this unique procedure can be completed in one visit
with virtually no discomfort.
Dentures & Partials
While we wish no one would ever need dentures, sometimes they
are the most reasonable option. In the past wearing dentures was the
only form of dentistry available to improve a person’s smile. When they
are indicated we take the time necessary to create attractive, well
fitting dentures. They can’t beat a set of your own teeth when they are
healthy and straight, but when natural teeth can’t be restored dentures
look great and chew well.
If a person has lost too much of their jawbone to
steady their dentures, implants can be placed. The dentures are attached
to the implants to hold them firmly in place. If you have this problem,
call us for a consultation appointment.
Infection Control
Dr. Belcher's practice is OSHA compliant, and follows the
same OSHA sterilization recommendations for hospitals.
